Delivering complex structural works for a landmark education facility.

As Structure Manager with Hutchinson Builders, Momentum Builders Director Ben led the structural delivery of the Kangan Institute Broadmeadows project, a landmark education development requiring the successful coordination of complex structural works and architectural concrete elements. The project showcases Ben's experience delivering technically demanding commercial construction projects before co-founding Momentum Builders.

The project involved the successful delivery of complex structural works for a landmark education facility, requiring detailed planning, technical expertise and close coordination across multiple trades. As Structure Manager, Ben was responsible for overseeing the structural construction phase, ensuring programme milestones were achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and workmanship.

The structural scope included architectural off-form concrete elements, more than 6,700m² of concrete slabs and the installation of 412 precast concrete panels. The complexity of the project demanded disciplined coordination between consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team to deliver the structure efficiently and to specification.

Completed in 2024, the Kangan Institute Broadmeadows campus provides a contemporary learning environment built to support future generations of students and educators. Ben's experience managing technically complex structural packages on major commercial projects now forms part of the expertise and leadership that Momentum Builders brings to every project.
